Former House of Assembly aspirant for Kanke Constituency, Hon. Rotjimwa Yilyok, has expressed deep concern over the worsening insecurity in Plateau State, particularly the recent killings reported in Barkin Ladi and parts of Mangu Local Government Areas.
Yilyok described the development as deeply troubling and condemned in totality the loss of innocent lives and the continued attacks on communities across the state.
She called on security agencies to intensify efforts to protect vulnerable communities and ensure that those responsible for the attacks are brought to justice.
According to her, the people of Plateau State deserve to live in peace and security, stressing that the concerns and experiences of residents must be taken seriously by those responsible for protecting them.
She urged security agencies to listen to the people at the grassroots, work closely with affected communities and take necessary steps to prevent further loss of lives and destruction of property.
Yilyok also expressed sympathy to the families who have lost loved ones, praying for comfort for the bereaved and peace for the affected communities.
She appealed to all stakeholders, including government authorities, traditional leaders, community leaders and residents, to support efforts aimed at restoring lasting peace and security across Plateau State.
She maintained that the protection of lives and property must remain a collective priority, particularly at a time when many communities are experiencing renewed anxiety over their safety.
