The Executive Chairman of Riyom Local Government Area in Plateau State, Hon. Sati Shuwa, has assured residents that the area is gradually bouncing back stronger despite the security challenges it has faced in recent times.

Speaking during a media interaction, Shuwa said his administration has worked closely with security agencies to reduce attacks and protect the lives and property of citizens across the local government.

He explained that the collaborative efforts between his council and the various security outfits have yielded positive results, helping to restore confidence among residents.

The chairman noted that while the challenges are not completely over, the progress made so far shows that the people of Riyom are resilient and determined to move forward.

“As an elected chairman with a clear mandate, I will not say much because the facts are there for everyone to see. Anyone with a contrary opinion is free to reach me through any accessible means,” Shuwa stated.

He also advised those who are not well informed about the situation in Riyom to seek accurate information before making comments, adding that the era of misinformation should be discouraged.

According to him, Riyom is witnessing steady improvement under the leadership of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who has maintained a strong working relationship with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure lasting peace in the state.

Hon. Shuwa reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and service delivery, stressing that “facts don’t lie,” and that his doors remain open to anyone who wishes to verify the achievements recorded under his administration.
