The Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Riyom Local Government Area, Hon. Sati Bature Shuwa has applauded the Citizens of Plateau North for electing Prince Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang as their Senator-elect describing the choice as best and apt.
According to him, the People of Riyom Local Government Area received the news of the election of its illustrious Son as Senator-elect with great joy and jubilation.
He urged the Senator-elect, Prince Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang to see his election by the People as the Will of God, ensure he provide quality representation to the people and be the voice of the People.
“The Senator-elect is someone conversant with the challenges of the Senatorial Zone and I am optimistic of his ability to work towards attracting the needed interventions” he said.
Hon. Sati Shuwa charged the Senator-elect not to betray the trust and confidence reposed in him but justify same with outstanding performance. He urged him to give priority to issues that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people especially attracting infrastructural development and empowerment of the Citizens.
While calling on him to be a good Ambassador of Riyom Local Government Area where he hailed from, he admonished him to come up with sound legislation that would direct impact on the Senatorial Zone and the Citizens.
He called on the People of the Senatorial Zone to accord the Senator-elect the needed support in order for him to provide good governance and dividends of democracy to their doorsteps.
It would be recalled that Prince Pam Mwadkon Dachungyang of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) was declared winner of the Plateau North Senatorial District Rerun election which held on Saturday 3rd February, 2024 by the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof. Nestor Chagok after pulling 122,442 votes to defeat Nine (9) other Candidates.
