The management of Plateau United FC has issued a three-match ultimatum to the club’s Technical Adviser, Mbwas Mangut, and his coaching team. The decision was made after a series of unsatisfactory performances in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The ultimatum followed a high-level meeting on Monday, February 3, 2025, in Jos, involving the club’s General Manager, Habila Hosea Mutla, and the club’s management staff. The team’s poor results led to concerns about the club’s performance and overall standing.

According to Mutla, the management hopes the ultimatum will spark the intensity needed to improve the club’s fortunes and appease the increasingly frustrated fan base. He emphasized that this decision came after a thorough review of the factors contributing to the team’s disappointing outcomes.

In the coming weeks, Plateau United will face tough challenges as they go up against Niger Tornadoes of Minna, El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, and Ikorodu City of Lagos in three crucial NPFL25 fixtures.

Yaksat Maklek, the Director of Media Operations for Plateau United, confirmed the ultimatum in an official statement released on February 3, 2025.
