Plateau United football club seeks to improve its competitive front, better than last season’s fifth-placed finish, as well as secure a continental place as a matter of priority.
This was made known to journalists by Mr. Yaksat Maklek, DMO of Plateau United.
Reinforcement principles have been adopted by the Club Management to include a mandatory adherence to the Club’s Code of conduct amongst other setups.
To boost performance and ensure consistency, Plateau United General Manager, Habila Hosea Mutla, promises to hand the sum of one million Naira to the first player to score ten goals.
The current Vice Chairman of the NPFL Club Owners’ Association equally announced the sum of five hundred thousand Naira as a reward for any goalkeeper that keeps ten clean sheets.
Technical Adviser, Mbwas Mangut, is confident every player in the squad will have a chance to compete, but according to him, “What you do with your chance is up to you.”
Mangut admits fans’ dissatisfaction with last season’s fifth-placed finish but draws inspiration from renewed belief to stay competitive at the top echelon of the standings.
Training momentum and intensity continue to rise by the day leading up to Plateau United’s September 8 opening fixture against Katsina United in Jos.
