Plateau State Polytechnic, Barkin Ladi, has announced the commencement of sales of admission forms for new Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. The process will run from Monday, 8th September to Friday, 10th October 2025.
The new courses cut across Engineering, Environmental Studies, Science and Technology, as well as Information Science and Communication Technology. The programmes are aimed at equipping students with modern skills relevant to today’s workforce.
In the School of Engineering, new HNDs include Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Foundry Engineering Technology, Metallurgical and Material Engineering, Mineral Resource and Petroleum Engineering, as well as Agric and Bio-Environmental Engineering.
The School of Environmental Studies will now offer HNDs in Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, and Quantity Surveying. In addition, the School of Science and Technology will run HNDs in Food Science Technology and Leisure & Tourism Management.
The Polytechnic also introduced new HNDs in Library & Information Science, Computer Science with options in Software and Web Development, Cloud Networking, Cyber Security, and Artificial Intelligence. Mass Communication will also be available with options in Journalism, Strategic Communication and Media Studies.
Interested candidates are to apply online through the Polytechnic portal: www.apply.plapolyportal.com. Application forms cost ₦5,000, while a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 also applies.
Management stressed that all applications must be completed and submitted online before 10th October 2025.
