Alhaji Muhammadu Sambo Haruna, chairman of the Jama’tul Nasri Islam (JNI) in Plateau State and emir of Wase, has thanked Governor Caleb Mutfwang for supporting the state’s Muslim community.

He said 70 percent of road maintenance and repairs in the Jos metropolis were within the Muslim community.

Haruna addressed the state’s Muslim Ummah’s gathering with Mutfwang to break their Ramadan fast at the New Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos.

The emir refuted the rumor that the governor was anti-Muslim, pointing out that Mutfwang had done more in less than a year to advance the Muslim community than had been done by prior administrations.

To promote Plateau peace, unity, and growth, as well as the overall welfare of the Ummah, he pleaded with the Muslim Ummah to support the administration.

Similarly, in their respective speeches, the emirs of Borgu, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Haliru, and Keffi, Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa, praised Mutfwang for his dedication to inclusive administration, justice, and fairness in the state.

The pair prayed to God, pointing to signs of a positive beginning and asking people to support the government, asking for the governor to be given greater power, wisdom, and understanding to further raise Plateau.

In his speech, Mutfwang emphasized the importance of the meeting in building ties of brotherhood, promoting understanding amongst people, and working together to create a peaceful, thriving Plateau.

He emphasized that decades of bloodshed have benefited no one and that, to address the shared difficulties confronting the state, it is crucial to rise beyond divisions in faith, race, or status. He demanded a restoration of the previous traditions of love and fraternity.

The governor thanked His Royal Highness Alh. Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa, the emir of Keffi, Alh. Muhammad Sani Haliru, the emir of Borgu, and other Islamic leaders for attending the function, noting that their attendance would promote unity and long-lasting friendships across differences.
