In a bold move to promote local production and technological advancement, Plateau-born entrepreneur, Zang Luka, has officially launched ‘Zang Global’, a new brand of Made-in-Nigeria products. The launch, held at the Usiju World Event Centre in Jos, brought together government officials, business leaders, and key stakeholders from within and outside the country.
The initiative, which aims to boost innovation and self-reliance within the African tech ecosystem, introduces affordable and reliable USB cables, power banks, mobile chargers and lanterns proudly designed and manufactured in Nigeria.

In his welcome address, Zang Luka, Chief Executive Officer of Zang Global, described the launch as a moment of fulfillment, reflection, and renewal. He said the journey was inspired by the desire to prove that Africa can produce world-class innovations and create lasting impact.
Luka expressed gratitude to his mentors, Kong Mark Elroi, his teachers, and team for turning a simple idea into a proudly Nigerian brand. He also appreciated the Amahoro Coalition for their support in training, mentorship, and resources that made Zang Global’s USB cables and chargers possible.
He noted that the company’s vision goes beyond business success, aiming to train and employ 15,000 Africans by 2029 while fostering innovation and self-reliance among youth. Luka added that Zang Global is investing in e-waste recycling to promote a cleaner and greener Africa.

Delivering the keynote address, Chief Ezekiel Gomos, CEO and Founder of Jos Business School, praised Zang Luka for his innovation and resilience during the product launch. He described Zang Global as a strong example of creativity and youth driven enterprise in Plateau State.
He urged entrepreneurs to focus on solving real life problems, noting that Zang Global’s products show how technology can meet local needs while driving self-reliance and growth.
Chief Gomos also encouraged innovators to protect their ideas, build partnerships, and seek government and investor support to strengthen local innovation and empower young talents.

Also speaking, Hon. Cletus Bako Shurkuk, Plateau State Commissioner for Science and Technology, commended Zang Luka for his innovation and dedication to promoting local technology. He said the government is determined to create a supportive environment where young innovators can thrive and turn their ideas into real impact.
He added that the state is developing a database of innovators to ensure they get the right support and recognition. Shurkuk assured that the government will keep partnering with inventors like Zang Luka to promote local solutions and make Plateau a center for technology growth in Nigeria.

Representing the Amahoro Coalition, Mercy Kusiwaa Frimpong, Strategy Custodian – Communications of the Amahoro Coalition described the partnership with Zang Global as a symbol of innovation and hope. She praised Zang Luka for his vision and resilience, noting that the coalition is proud to support his mission of promoting local production and youth empowerment.
She reaffirmed Amahoro Coalition’s commitment to working with Zang Global to expand opportunities across Africa, emphasizing that the partnership will drive innovation, create jobs, and inspire sustainable growth on the continent.

In his Goodwill message, The Group Managing Director of Plateau Express Service, Hon. Samuel Jot Gwott, encouraged innovators to keep pushing their ideas and sharing positive stories about local talent. He announced a commitment to purchase Zang Global products worth ₦1.2 million in total to support their innovation drive.

Chief Koppe Sylvanus, CEO of A Plus Computers, commended Zang Luka for his remarkable growth and innovation in the tech space, urging stronger collaboration within the industry. He announced A Plus Computers’ support for Zang Global’s Mission 2029 by offering a free training venue with full facilities for one year and a ₦500,000 cash donation, reaffirming his company’s commitment to human capacity development and partnership-driven progress.

Samuel Opkosio, Founder and CEO of Simplicity Group, praised the exceptional quality and neatness of Zang Global’s products, describing them as world-class. He expressed admiration for the innovation on display and pledged his support with a ₦500,000 contribution, noting that excellence like this deserves to be celebrated and sustained.



The unveiling ceremony also featured thrilling performances by top Plateau artists including BBC Lobworok, Dex Dee, and Arin Izere. Their energetic acts added color and excitement to the event, celebrating the creativity and innovation that define the Zang Global brand.
The event concluded with the official unveiling and exhibition of Zang Global’s range of products, which include high-capacity Power Banks (20,000mAh and 10,000mAh, in various colors and designs), durable USB Cables, efficient Power Adapters, and rechargeable Lanterns. All items were proudly designed and manufactured in Jos, Plateau State, reflecting the brand’s commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence in local production.
