Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang of Plateau State will on Tuesday officially launch the Mutfwang Legacy Scholarship Scheme, with an initial batch of 200 students selected to study at Sanskaram University in India.

In a press statement issued in Jos by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Gyang Bere, the state government said the scheme is a strategic initiative aimed at equipping Plateau youths with quality education, global exposure, and skills needed to compete internationally.

The statement explained that the scholarship reflects Governor Mutfwang’s strong commitment to human capital development and his vision to groom a new generation of professionals who will drive the socio-economic transformation of Plateau State.

Governor Mutfwang noted that the programme is part of his administration’s deliberate investment in education and youth empowerment, designed to create lasting opportunities for young citizens of the state.

The farewell and official launch ceremony for the beneficiaries is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at the National Youth Centre, behind the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, Lamingo, Jos, by 11:00 a.m.

The event will formally usher the selected students into the global academic space and marks another milestone in the Governor’s plan to leave a legacy of excellence, opportunity, and inclusive development across Plateau State.
