The Plateau State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Hon. Musa Ibrahim Ashom, has commended the Plateau Publishers Association (PPA) for their continued support of the government’s developmental initiatives.

During a courtesy visit by the PPA delegation, led by Prince Daniel John Bok, Hon. Ashom expressed his appreciation for the media’s role in promoting the state government’s programs, particularly under the leadership of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.

Hon. Ashom acknowledged the vital contributions made by the PPA, stating, “The government appreciates the massive coverage you have given us. Your work has not only informed the public but has also reinforced the achievements of this administration.” He emphasized that the media plays a significant role in the development and unity of the state and pledged the government’s commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with the PPA.

The commissioner highlighted the strides made by the government, noting that Plateau State has become a “construction site,” with various developmental projects in both urban and rural areas. He praised the media for helping to amplify these achievements, saying, “When journalists say government programs are laudable, you can take it to the bank. It is a tonic for us to do more.”

Hon. Ashom also called for unity within the PPA, stressing the need for members to close ranks and work as a team for the betterment of the state.

Furthermore, the commissioner reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting the PPA and thanked the association for their contribution to the growth and advancement of Plateau State. He assured them of continued collaboration, adding, “Going forward, we know that you’ll give us more coverage, and on our part, we’ll also do the needful.”

The PPA delegation, led by the Chairman and Editor-In-Chief, National Horizon Magazine, Prince Daniel John Bok, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the government’s developmental agenda through responsible and unbiased media coverage. The PPA praised the current administration’s transparency and strides in infrastructural development, particularly Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s focus on urban and rural growth.

Speaking on behalf of the association, Prince Daniel Bok expressed satisfaction with the level of engagement between the media and the government. He noted that this collaboration has fostered a positive working relationship, which has allowed for balanced reporting on key government projects across Plateau State. The PPA also commended the administration’s openness in providing necessary information to the media for public dissemination.

Additionally, Bok emphasized the importance of unity within the PPA, calling on all members to work together in promoting the collective interests of Plateau State. He stressed that the media’s role is essential in shaping public opinion and contributing to the state’s progress, reaffirming their support for the government’s efforts toward a more prosperous Plateau State.
