The Plateau State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of key officials to the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC). This confirmation follows a comprehensive screening session held during the Assembly’s plenary at the Old Government House in Rayfield.

The newly appointed officials include Hon. Plangji Chishak, representing Mangu South, who will serve as the Chairman. Barr. Pam Davou from Jos South constituency has been appointed as the Secretary. Additional members confirmed are Hon. Theresa Kaze, Mrs. Deborah Akanle, Hon. Ado Adare, Hon. Audu Dorzhi, and Dr. Longman Pensiwan.

The confirmation process began with Hon. Plangji Chishak leading the charge, reflecting on the importance of their roles in ensuring a robust and independent electoral process in the state. Each nominee underwent scrutiny to assess their qualifications and commitment to upholding the integrity of PLASIEC.
