A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Bukuru Ward, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, has debunked claims of his suspension from the party, describing the letter circulating to that effect as a forged document orchestrated by political detractors.

Zazzaga disclosed that upon seeing the alleged suspension letter, he immediately contacted the ward chairman of the APC in Bukuru, who denied authoring or signing such a letter.

“I have seen the letter and reached out to the chairman of the party at Bukuru Ward who was surprised and stated unequivocally that he had not caused for any letter to be written suspending me and further stated in clear terms that he has not signed such a letter.”

He recalled that the last official engagement he had with the party was on October 2, 2024, during which he received commendation from the ward executives for his contributions to the growth of the APC.

“In the first place, my last official communication with my ward executives at the Bukuru Ward was on the 2nd day of October, 2024 wherein the party commended me for my efforts in moving the party forward and undertook to stand by me.”

The APC member promised to release both the commendation and the purported suspension letters to the public via his social media platforms, to show evidence of forgery.

“(I shall circulate the said letter on all my social media platforms later today).”

Zazzaga compared the signature on the suspension letter with that of the commendation letter and found discrepancies that he believes prove foul play.

“Secondly, I compared the signatures on the purported letter suspending me and the letter of 2nd October, 2024 and realised that the signatures do not match indicating the purported letter suspending me was a fabrication and the signatures were forged.”

He maintained that he remains a devoted and loyal member of the APC and urged party supporters and the public to disregard the false claims.

“I wish to state that I still remain a member of our great party, APC and urge my supporters and members of the APC to dispel the purported rumours of my suspension as it is the handiwork of my detractors and enemies of democracy.”

Describing the suspension letter as an attempt to embarrass him, Zazzaga emphasized his commitment to the party’s constitution and values.

He called the situation a calculated attempt to tarnish his image and create unnecessary division within the party.

According to him, only genuine party structures can initiate disciplinary actions, and no such due process has been followed in his case.

Zazzaga reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, promising to remain steadfast in supporting the party’s progress.

“I remain a devout member of our great party. Long live APC.”
