The Jos Electricity Distribution (JED) has announced that customers in Plateau, Bauchi, and Gombe states will experience a power outage from August 28 to September 2.
The planned outage will occur between 9am and 5pm during this period.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is conducting the outage to allow its Local Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors to make installations.
The purpose of the outage is to connect the gantry beam of the new APO line to the existing Lafia line-Jos 330kv double circuit.
The TCN has assured customers that the 330KV Jos complex will remain supplied via the Kaduna-Jos 330KV line, although there may be an increase in load shedding.
The JED is asking customers to be patient and understanding, as they are working on improving their services.
