The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Hon. Chris Hassan, has reacted to recent defections from the party, describing them as isolated and insignificant.

In a press statement, Hon. Hassan urged party members to remain calm and resolute. He emphasized that the PDP remains strong and united in Plateau State.

“Defections are not new in the political process,” he said. “However, we are confident that the strength and credibility of the PDP in Plateau State remain unshaken.”

He reassured supporters that the party leadership is working hard to consolidate its gains and provide a strong platform for the aspirations of the people.

“Everything is under control, and better days lie ahead,” Hassan stated.

The party chairman also commended Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for what he called “outstanding leadership and good governance.”

He noted that the governor has achieved more in two years than the previous administration did in eight.

Hon. Hassan highlighted the recent vote of confidence passed by the State Executive Committee in both Governor Mutfwang and himself as proof of trust and satisfaction in their leadership.

On security, he condemned the recent attacks in Bokkos and Bassa LGAs by suspected Fulani militias.

He praised Governor Mutfwang’s swift response and acknowledged efforts by the police and military to restore peace.

He also welcomed the governor’s call for communities to form local security networks in collaboration with their neighbors.

According to him, this grassroots approach reflects leadership that cares deeply about the safety of the people.

Hon. Hassan ended the statement by calling on citizens to stay vigilant and continue supporting the PDP and Governor Mutfwang.

He assured Plateau residents that the party remains committed to building a peaceful and prosperous state.
