Prior to the Plateau State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal Decision, scheduled for Friday, September 22, 2023, the Muslim Youth Council, operating under the auspices of Concerned PDP, has put its support behind Plateau State Executive Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang.

The group, led by Kabiru Garkuwa, thanked the governor for providing the state’s citizens with strong and trustworthy leadership and for trying to promote growth and development. He characterised Gov. Mutfwang as a focused and visionary leader who had a better understanding of the difficulties the State was facing and had put policies in place to ensure that those challenges were addressed for the benefit of the State and its citizens as a whole.

The Director of Media urged members and dissenting followers to conduct a one-day fast in order to pray for the tribunal’s decision in a statement that was signed by Umar Ams.
“In fact, we are delighted to proclaim that the court’s decision is a triumph for democracy and the rule of law.

“We have no doubt that he will continue to steer the state with excellence, making significant strides for our shared prosperity. His dedication and hard work speak volumes, and his achievements inspire many.

“We enjoin Plateaunians across party lines to team up with Barr. Caleb Mutfwang to deliver real dividends of democracy to Plateau people through the The Time Is Now agenda of his administration” he said.

The group asserted that it is hopeful that Gov. Mutfwang will be favoured by the Tribunal ruling and urged citizens not to take any actions that might jeopardise the state’s current relative peace.
