The distribution of relief materials provided by the Federal Government has begun in Riyom Local Government, as stated by the Transition Committee Chairman, Sati Shuwa.
The Local Government received 166 bags of Rice through the Plateau State Government, which will be given to the most vulnerable individuals across the three districts in the area.
Shuwa emphasized the importance of ensuring the materials reach the intended recipients and warned against any diversion.
Additionally, the Local Government plans to procure other grains to support the less privileged. This initiative is part of the administration’s commitment to assist the masses and provide hope during challenging times.
The Chairman commended the Federal and State Governments for prioritizing the welfare of the people and urged the residents to support the Governor.
The District Head of Bachi, Da Gyang Dalyop, the Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Shankuk Obadiah and the Chairman of the Jama’atu Nasir Islam of Riyom, Mato Albarka expressed their gratitude for the relief materials and promised to handle the distribution justly.
