The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has praised Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for his prompt and courageous response to the recent attacks in Bokkos and Bassa Local Government Areas.

Leading a delegation of the NGF on a solidarity visit to Plateau State, Governor Abdulrazaq expressed heartfelt sympathy to the government and people of the state over the tragic killings. He called for united efforts to end insecurity and promote lasting peace nationwide.
“We convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved families,” he said, commending security agencies for their swift intervention. “All leaders in Plateau—traditional, religious, political, and youth—must rally around Governor Mutfwang to restore peace. Dialogue, mutual respect, and empathy are key to resolving conflicts.”
He stressed that the state’s vast potential in agriculture and tourism could be lost if violence persists, while hailing Mutfwang’s leadership during this difficult time.

In his remarks, Governor Mutfwang thanked the NGF for their support, describing their visit as a source of hope and encouragement to Plateau people.
“The attacks were senseless and heartbreaking,” Mutfwang said. “But our people remain resilient. Plateau has stayed out of negative headlines for over a year, and we are committed to restoring peace and unity.”
He assured that his administration is constantly reviewing its security approach and welcomes new ideas and partnerships to tackle insecurity.
“We are open to collaboration and committed to building a safer Plateau,” he added. “By God’s grace, we will overcome and restore the Home of Peace and Tourism.”
