CP Hassan Yabanet, the recently appointed Commissioner of Police for Plateau State, has promised to deal with lawbreakers who are causing problems in Mangu and other areas of the state.
This was disclosed by the Commissioner of Police on Saturday during an impromptu visit to the Mangu local government area’s attacked communities.
CP Yabanet stated that he is in Mangu, which is the centre of the crisis, to provide information about the situation, convey the Inspector General of Police’s message, and encourage field officers to step up their efforts to bring peace to the troubled communities. He was received by Hon. Markus Artu, the Chairman of the Transition Implementation Committee of Mangu.
In response, Hon. Artu thanked the new CP and expressed his happiness over the visit, citing his performance history as the reason for his deployment to Plateau.
The Mangu Council boss expressed confidence that the incoming Commissioner of Police will carry out his mandate, while assuring him of all necessary support to restore peace to the state.
