Comrade Longji Sunday Galock has officially joined the race for the position of Assistant Secretary General of the Plateau Youth Council (PYC) in the upcoming 2024 elections. His campaign is driven by a vision of transparency, proper documentation, and a commitment to addressing critical issues affecting the youth and the state.
Galock emphasized the need for the Plateau Youth Council to establish an official database to provide easily accessible information about past and current leadership, aiming to ensure proper documentation and resource creation for future youth.
Beyond transparency, Galock has expressed a strong commitment to tackling issues that have long plagued the state, particularly illegal mining. He believes that the youth should be more vocal in addressing these concerns but notes that fear and political pressures have kept many silent. “In my capacity, I believe I can speak up about these issues,” Galock declared.
Galock praised the Governor for tackling illegal mining and land grabbing in Plateau State, emphasizing the need for youth and citizen support to achieve these goals.
He also hinted at a broader agenda that includes advocating for youth rights and ensuring that issues affecting the state are addressed comprehensively.
Galock’s bid for the Assistant Secretary General position is anchored on the belief that he can lead the youth council toward greater accountability and action. As the election draws near, his vision and determination could resonate with many young people seeking a stronger voice in Plateau State’s governance.
It is my pleasure to offer my service to the youth of plateau together let’s make history.
