The newly appointed Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Plateau State, Hon. Chief Ephraim Usman has urged staff to join forces to come up with brilliant innovations to improve productivity in other to meet the goals of the Ministry.
Chief Ephraim Usman made this known at the Plateau State Ministry of Local Government And Chieftaincy Affairs where the mantle of leadership has been handed over to Him by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Sunday Davou Dagwom on Tuesday, 8th August 2023.
In his remarks having been warmly welcomed and having received the handing over notes, Hon. Ephraim Usman said he will subject the past activities of the ministry to objective review and come up with creative ideas aimed at revamping the ministry.
He added, “We have to rise to the challenge of the 21st century. We shall put our heads together and come up with innovations to improve the productivity of the ministry. We are going to debate a lot of issues in our management meetings and come up with improved ways of doing things. It shall not be business as usual.”
Usman stressed that all staff must brace up and get ready to change the trajectory of the ministry in line with the “The Time Is Now” mantra of the result-oriented Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
He pointed out that some of the unavoidable changes to come might be pleasant to the staff and some may not, but the resultant outcome will be beneficial to the ministry and the state at large.
“We must get to work, and in the next 3 to 4 months, we must have tangible results to present to the governor and the good people of Plateau State”, he concluded.
On behalf of the staff, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Gwom, commended the vibrancy of the commissioner and pledged their unwavering support to him.
