The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has announced a 23 man High powered committee to give late Lt Gen Jeremiah Timbut Useni a state burial.
The Governor in a press release signed by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Arc Samuel Nanchang Jatau dated 29th January 2025 named the National Assembly,the Executive Chairmen of Langtang North and Langtang South, the Church, Technocrats, Tarok Traditional institution, Elders Forum and Development Associations as members.
Gov Mutfwang also listed security agencies such as the Army and Operation Rainbow, and federal establishments where the Elder statesman served the nation meritoriously. Representatives of Edo and Delta states where Gen Useni was a military governor were also named in the committee
The former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Transportation, military governor of old Bendel State and former Senator representing Plateau Southern senatorial district passed away at the age of 82 in far away France
The Secretary to the Government of the State is the Chairman of the Committee while the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Duties is the Secretary of the Plateau State High powered burial committee.
