The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area, Hon. Pirfa Jingfa Tyem, has flagged off the distribution of new seats and desks to primary schools across the LGA. The initiative, supported by the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), is part of efforts to improve learning environments for pupils.
Speaking at the official flag-off, Hon. Tyem expressed pride in this milestone, emphasizing that the distribution goes beyond furniture but represents a critical investment in the future of Langtang North’s children. He stated that quality education requires conducive environments, and the new desks and seats will help achieve that.
The schools benefiting from the distribution are LEA Shiko, LEA Wallang, LEA Kankur, LEA Limun South, LEA Pakuk, LEA Mban, and LEA Gwandamung. With the provision of essential learning tools, Hon. Tyem noted that the schools are now better equipped to support students’ academic growth.
Hon. Tyem acknowledged the pivotal role SUBEB played in ensuring the success of this initiative and expressed his deep appreciation for their unwavering support of education in Langtang North. He reiterated the council’s commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to continue enhancing educational infrastructure.
In his address to teachers, Hon. Tyem encouraged them to use the new resources to inspire the pupils to achieve excellence. He stressed the importance of nurturing young talents and helping them reach their full potential.
He also called on parents to actively participate in their children’s education, urging them to motivate the pupils to make the most of the new facilities. According to him, parental involvement is crucial to ensuring educational success.
