The Plateau State Government has reiterated its commitment to economic revitalization through private sector partnerships, as demonstrated at the official commissioning of Kaisan Oil and Gas. Representing the Executive Governor, His Excellency Barr Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Dr. Akim Audu Mayat described the event as a progress that aligns with the administration’s broader development agenda.

Held in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, the commissioning ceremony was attended by former lawmakers, party chieftains, traditional leaders, and industry stakeholders. The occasion highlighted the government’s dedication to promote a business-friendly environment in Plateau State.

Dr. Mayat conveyed the Governor’s heartfelt congratulations to the Chief Executive Officer and management of Kaisan Oil and Gas for their perseverance and commitment in bringing the project to completion. He noted that the establishment of the company was not only a business milestone but also a testament to the economic potential of Plateau State.

“I extended His Excellency’s heartfelt congratulations to the CEO and management of Kaisan oil and gas for their commitment to bringing the project to fruition.”

He further emphasized that the project reflects resilience, innovation, and the promise of inclusive economic growth, which are central to the policy direction of the Mutfwang-led administration. According to Dr. Mayat, the commissioning reinforces the state government’s ongoing strategy to position Plateau as a hub for commerce and investment.

“The momentous event signified much more than the opening of a new business but a symbol of resilience, innovation and the promise of economic growth for Plateau State and Nigeria at large. I reaffirmed the Governor’s commitment to initiate policies that will support investors as the commissioning aligns perfectly with the vision of the ‘Time is Now’ administration to revive, rebuild, and reposition the state as a hub of economic activities not only in agriculture and solid minerals, but also in the oil and gas sector, trade and commerce”

Dr. Mayat affirmed that the administration’s focus remains on sustainable development through strategic partnerships with credible investors. This involves addressing infrastructural gaps, promoting security, and creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

He noted that the Kaisan Oil and Gas investment would enhance the local economy by generating employment, supporting indigenous businesses, and expanding access to energy resources, a critical factors in improving livelihoods across the state.

“The investment will not only boost the local economy but also create job opportunities for our teeming youths, support local businesses, and improve access to energy resources in the state. Describing the event as an honourable moment, Dr. Mayat praised the leadership of Alhaji Auwal, CEO of Kaisan Oil and Gas, for spearheading an initiative that resonates with the government’s vision of inclusive development.

He stressed that the government’s economic blueprint focuses on leveraging the entrepreneurial spirit of the people, while also encouraging investments that empower communities and drive wealth creation across the state.

Dr. Mayat further expressed confidence that the presence of such private sector investments is evidence of the trust being restored in Plateau’s economy through the policies of the “Time is Now” administration.
