The Plateau State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Dr. (Mrs.) Kachollom Gang, has denied allegations linking her to the review and disengagement of workers employed during the previous administration.
In a statement issued through her media team, the commissioner clarified that she was not a member of any committee set up to review past employments, insisting that claims suggesting her involvement are false and misleading.
“I did not serve on any employment review committee and had no role in the disengagement process,” she stated.
The commissioner further explained that there is no record of her publicly or privately supporting the exercise, noting that attempts to associate her with the decision are aimed at discrediting her.
She also emphasized that as a commissioner, she does not have the authority to overrule or countermand decisions taken by the state governor, stressing that such powers lie solely with the executive.
Dr. Gang urged the public to disregard the allegations and focus on verified information, describing the claims as politically motivated.
Highlighting her contributions, she noted that her efforts in expanding secondary schools across rural communities have created employment opportunities for youths and improved access to education.
She reaffirmed her commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive development, assuring the people that she remains focused on delivering meaningful service.
