The former member representing Jos South Jos East federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives Abuja, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, has visited the attacked communities of Zike and Kimakpa in Kwall district of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, where over 50 lives were lost as a result of the terror attack.

Hon. Bagos, whose first point of call was the palace of His Royal Highness Rev. Ronku Aka (RTD) the Bra Nggwe Rigwe and Ag. President Bassa Traditional Council, to condole with the traditional council over the unfortunate events.

He said enough of the mourning and bloodshed. Thus, he is committed to ensuring that this carnage stops on the Plateau, as every single life on the Plateau matters. He called for support for His Excellency Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, as he has shown capacity and commitment to see that this carnage never happens again; hence, through unity and singleness of purpose, Plateau State will bring the evil to an end.

At Kwall district, Hon. Bagos was received by the District Head of Kwall, His Royal Highness Halabity Dodo, and Luka Miri, JP, the traditional ruler of the affected communities, Hon. Musa Agah, former member representing Jos North Bassa federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives Abuja.

Hon. Bagos said his heart is heavy with grief as well as to convey the right words of condolences. He said It is so unfortunate that people are massacred in their sleep without any provocation. Thus, he charged the people to be vigilant, as the constitution has empowered Nigerians to defend themselves against terror and external attacks. He further assured the Royal Fathers and the communities that they were not alone. As such, he prayed for God to continue to uphold the royal fathers to keep directing the people toward defeating the foes of our land.

Royal Fathers all appreciated Hon. Bagos and the team for coming to condole with them. Which has shown Bagos’ resilience to be the voice of the people. They called for the unity of the Plateau people against the external aggressors.

Hon. Bagos was accompanied to the visit by Hon. Peter I. Gyengdeng, former member representing the Barkin Ladi/Riyom federal constituency at the House of Representatives in Abuja, Da. Dung Dalyop, Hon. Ishaku Maren (Yobo) Liaison officer for Bokkos Constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Agbalak, liaison officer Rukuba/ Irigwe constituency among others.

The highlight of the visit was a prayer for the community and its leaders, as well as God’s comfort upon the land.
