The former member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal constituency at the federal House of Representatives in Abuja, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, has commended Mele Kyari and the NNPC for reviving the Warri refinery and called on the federal government to match words with action to address the infrastructural deficit Nigeria is grappling with now that the Warri refinery begins processing of crude oil.

The former legislature made this assertion while appearing as a guest on TVC Business News; a discussion on the issue of the Warri refinery which began processing crude oil. Hon. Bagos began by saying that he felt proud as a Nigerian to have witnessed the processing of crude from Port Harcourt and Warri refineries. He commended NNPCL leadership led by Mr. Mele Kyari for working to see what he and other members of the national assembly have been clamoring for.

Hence, he said now that our refineries are up and doing, the government must work to address the infrastructural deficit Nigeria is faced with to help in addressing the inflation and development crisis the nation is battling with. He said beyond this, a functional economy in all its facets must be seen rising towards the mark of reviving the economy, fighting poverty, providing employment, and robust financial institutions and challenges of power supply.

He said an enabling business environment would not just provide a lifeline for the economy but would present Nigerians with a better life. He also hoped that the same focus could be given to Ajaokuta Steel, which would provide employment to Nigeria and reinvigorate the economy.
