On Thursday, June 6, a strong rainstorm damaged residences in the Jenta Mangoro and Jenta Adamu communities. The severe downpour, which lasted several hours, destroyed several roofs, leaving residents and property unprotected.

According to eyewitnesses, the rain began early in the morning and immediately escalated, accompanied by powerful winds that pulled off the roofs of multiple houses. Although there were no reports of building collapses, roof damage led several people to seek temporary refuge because their homes were rendered uninhabitable due to water intrusion.

The incident demonstrates the urgent need for enhanced infrastructure and disaster preparedness in the region. As climate change worsens terrible weather events, the people of Jenta Mangoro and Jenta Adamu are forced to rebuild and recover from the latest disaster.
