In a significant move, Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has inaugurated the new Chairman and members of the Plateau State Civil Service Commission.
The event marks a pivotal moment in the state’s ongoing efforts to reform and enhance its public service sector.
Governor Mutfwang during the inauguration underscored the importance of the commission, highlighting the Civil Service as the engine that drives government policies and programs and Its effective and efficient functioning is key to addressing the needs and aspirations of citizens.

Represented by his deputy, Hon. Mrs Josephine Piyo, the governor urged the newly appointed members to maintain professionalism and a view their appointment as a call to serve, reform, and reposition the Civil Service as a model of good governance and effective service delivery.
The Governor further charged them to spearhead reforms aimed at reengineering the civil service for enhanced service delivery, and to also tackle absenteeism, modernizing systems and processes, embracing technology, and fostering a culture of innovation are vital steps toward building an efficient and responsive workforce.

The chairman, Mr Paul Wai, in a remark, stated that the commission would build on the great strides the government has achieved in building a robust and efficient workforce in the state.
Other members of the commission are Da Francis Bot, Mrs Martina Dakur, Mr Ishaya Ilpiri, and Mrs Esther Danagei.
