The annual Fitila Conference is scheduled to hold from October 30 to November 1, 2026, at Jubilation Church, Jos, Plateau State, with a focus on worship, prayer, fellowship and spiritual renewal.

The conference, themed “Mai Girma,” meaning The Great One, was announced by the Lead Pastor of Jubilation Church, Pastor Tiza Tekimbi, who said the gathering would provide believers with an opportunity to experience God’s presence and strengthen their faith.

Tekimbi explained that the conference was designed to bring Christians together at the end of the year for extended periods of worship, prayer, Bible teaching and fellowship.

He said, “The conference is to, of course, gather as believers at the end of the year to refresh ourselves in God’s presence, to worship the Lord, to enjoy fellowship and communion, spend extended time in worship, extended time in prayer, extended time in the Word.”

The pastor also highlighted the church’s commitment to promoting the Christian faith in Northern Nigeria, noting that the region remained central to its spiritual mission.

According to him, the church is passionate about contributing to the growth of the gospel and strengthening the spiritual life of people across the region.

“We are particularly passionate about what God is doing in Northern Nigeria, and we are glad to be part of those who are in the front of the gospel in the North,” Tekimbi stated.

He added that the conference would also provide young people with an opportunity to connect with one another, grow in their faith and discover their potential in serving God.

The lead pastor observed that young people needed platforms where they could build meaningful relationships, deepen their spiritual commitment and work together towards shared goals.

“God caught me at a very young age, and I think many people should have the same experience when they serve God in their youth. So, the conference provides that opportunity where people like you and I can meet and mingle with people of their age to experience God and see possibilities for their generation,” he said.

Tekimbi further explained that the church was seeking partnerships with individuals and groups to reach more people across Jos and ensure a successful conference.

He said the gathering would feature worship sessions, prayers, singing and special ministrations, expressing hope that participants would experience spiritual transformation and receive answers to their prayers.

The conference is expected to bring together Christians and other participants for two days of spiritual engagement under the theme, “Mai Girma,” which celebrates the greatness of God.
