Hon. Sunday Malo Muchen, a former member of the Plateau State House of Assembly who served as the representative for Bokkos State Constituency from 2015 to 2019, was discovered dead four days after his kidnapping.
The marauders terrorising the council regions abducted the former state lawmaker last Wednesday at gunpoint from his Bokkos house, and they took off on a motorbike, taking them to an unidentified location.
According to a family-friendly source, the kidnapping occurred at approximately 10:00 pm. The gunmen, numbering roughly ten, broke through the door and threatened to shoot everybody inside if they didn’t comply.
He continued by saying that since Muchen was abducted, security services, hunters, and vigilantes had been searching the nearby mountains and forests for the kidnappers. He also mentioned that, until his body was discovered, there had been no contact between the abductors and the deceased’s family for ransom.
It was discovered that the local authorities had thrown the body on a bush walk, despite the fact that his friends and family were hoping to hear from him and perhaps even speak with his kidnappers.
The source announced: “He will be buried today, Saturday, as plans have been made to pick up his body at the Plateau State Specialist Hospital for final internment at his home because the body has already begun to decompose.”
Hon. Muchen contested for the State Assembly last year using the Labour Party platform. In addition, Muchen was a shrewd businessman; before to his passing, he was involved in the mining and auto sales industries.
The body was discovered on Friday after he was abducted on Wednesday, according to Mrs. Grace Zamfara, the State Chairman of the Labour Party, who verified the sad event.
Since DSP Alfred Alabo, the spokesperson for the Plateau State Police Command, could not be reached by phone, attempts to acquire a response regarding the occurrence were unsuccessful.
