The former Chairman of Jos South Local Government Area and 2023 APC flag bearer for Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Hon. Gideon Dandareng, has strongly criticized the government of Plateau State under Barr. Caleb Mannaseh Mutfwang.
He described the administration as “a monumental failure” citing the absence of meaningful capital projects across the state despite huge allocations from the federation account.
“He wondered that despite the huge allocations from the federation account all Plateau people are seeing is the patching of roads and construction of side roads.”
On security, Dandareng urged government at all levels to adopt a kinetic approach in the fight against banditry and terrorism. He said as a security expert, he had long advocated for an overhaul of the security architecture both in Plateau and Nigeria as a whole.
“He advised government at all levels to use the kinetic approach in tackling banditry and terrorism noting that as a secure expert he has always canvassed for an overhaul of the security architecture in the State and country at large while commending President Bola Ahmed TInubu for the proactive steps taken to safeguard the lives of Nigerians.”
The APC chieftain also praised the ratification of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as the National Chairman of the ruling party, describing him as the right man for the job.
“He commended the ratification of Proffesor Nentawe Yilwatda as the national Chairman of the ruling APC describing him as a round peg in a round hole while expressing confidence in his ability to lead the party to victory in the 2027 general elections.”
On his 2027 political ambition, Dandareng explained that he is still consulting widely and will unveil his plans at the appropriate time, while urging Plateau citizens to be prepared to vote out the PDP in the next elections.
