Dalyop Gyang, popularly known as Amit Abass, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Secretary of the Berom Youths Moulders (BYM), Gyel District. His declaration has sparked interest across the district, especially among young people who see him as a vibrant and capable representative.
Born on 14th January 1993, Amit Abass has grown into a youth leader whose life reflects commitment, service, and continuous personal development. His ambition for the BYM Secretary role stems from a desire to strengthen unity, improve communication, and introduce innovative ideas that will support the growth of Gyel’s youth community.
Amit Abass’ educational journey underscores his readiness for leadership. After earning his WAEC certificate, he proceeded to study Public Administration and successfully completed his National Diploma. He is currently running his Higher National Diploma (HND) in the same field, equipping himself with stronger administrative knowledge. His leadership qualities are already well recognized, as he serves as the Vice President of the National Union of Berom Students (NUBES), Plateau State Polytechnic Chapter.
In addition to academics and leadership, Amit Abass is also a proud fashion designer who creates outstanding pieces for both male and female clients. His entrepreneurial background has shaped his discipline, resilience, and ability to manage responsibilities efficiently, these are qualities he hopes to bring into the BYM Secretariat.
Speaking on his vision, Amit Abass said his mission is to contribute to a more active, organized, and people-centered BYM in Gyel District. He believes the Secretary’s office should serve as a bridge between the youth and community leaders, ensuring effective information flow and promoting youth involvement in development activities.
His supporters describe him as a focused, humble, and service-driven young man whose presence in BYM leadership would inspire more youths to participate in community affairs. They believe his experience in student leadership and entrepreneurship gives him an added advantage.
As the BYM election draws nearer, many eyes are now on Amit Abass, a young man driven by vision, passion, and a genuine desire to uplift the Gyel youth community. His aspiration signals a new chapter for youth leadership in the district.
