The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, has inspected the ceremonial parade rehearsal for the upcoming Passing Out Parade (POP) of newly recruited police constables in Jos.
The event, which marks the end of a six-month intensive training exercise, has been approved by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for the 55th intake (Batch B).
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo, the ceremony represents a significant milestone in the careers of the new recruits as they transition from trainees to fully operational officers of the Nigeria Police Force.
During their six-month training, the constables were equipped with physical fitness exercises, firearms handling, community policing strategies, discipline, and psychological readiness to effectively perform their duties in line with international best practices.
CP Adesina, during his visit to the Police Training School in Jos, commended the officers and instructors for their dedication and emphasized the importance of discipline, professionalism, and service to humanity.
He also assured that all necessary modalities have been put in place to ensure a smooth and successful passing-out ceremony.
The Commissioner invited residents of Plateau State to attend the event, which is scheduled as follows:

- Time: 10:00 a.m. prompt
- Venue: Police Training School (PTS), Zaria Road, Jos.
Guests are expected to be seated by 9:30 a.m. before the arrival of the reviewing officer.
The Command expressed its excitement about welcoming the new officers into active service and reaffirmed its commitment to building a more effective, professional, and community-friendly police force in Plateau State.
