The Governing Council of the College of Education, Gindiri, has disengaged all staff members who were previously reinstated by a court order after being employed under the administration of former Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong.
This move comes just weeks after a court directed the Plateau State Government to reinstate the affected workers, ruling in their favour following their initial disengagement.
However, the Governing Council has now reportedly reversed the reinstatement, insisting on their disengagement despite the court’s ruling. The decision has stirred fresh concerns among the affected workers and observers who view the action as a disregard for the judiciary.
More details are expected as reactions continue to trail the Council’s move.
