The political atmosphere in Jos South is steadily gaining momentum as Comrade Ayuba Dalyop Mandung, popularly known as Ayudeh, has publicly endorsed the re-election of Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for a second term in office.

Ayudeh, a grassroots mobilizer and emerging political figure, made his position known during a series of consultations across communities, party structures, and stakeholder groups within Jos South. His endorsement is seen by many as a strategic alignment with the developmental strides recorded under the current administration.

Speaking during one of his engagements, Ayudeh commended Governor Mutfwang’s leadership, highlighting what he described as “visible progress in governance, renewed confidence in leadership, and a people-centered approach to development.” According to him, continuity is essential to sustain and expand the gains already made.

“Leadership that delivers must be encouraged to continue. Governor Mutfwang has shown commitment to the people, and it is only right that we support him to consolidate on the progress achieved,” he stated.

Ayudeh’s consultations have extended beyond party loyalists to include critical stakeholders, youth groups, women leaders, and grassroots canvassers. His message has remained consistent—unity within the party and collective effort toward securing victory in the 2027 general elections.

Observers note that his growing acceptance across different segments of Jos South is tied to his hands-on approach and accessibility. From ward-level interactions to strategic meetings with key influencers, Ayudeh has positioned himself as a bridge between leadership and the grassroots.

Beyond endorsing the governor, Ayudeh has also declared his intention to contest for the Jos South State Constituency seat in the Plateau State House of Assembly in 2027. His aspiration, he says, is driven by a desire to deepen representation and bring governance closer to the people.

“My aspiration is rooted in service. I seek to represent the great people of Jos South with dedication, to amplify their voices, and to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every corner of our constituency,” he added.

He further pledged that if elected, he would work closely with Governor Mutfwang’s administration to consolidate on development, strengthen community engagement, and promote policies that directly impact the lives of the people.

Political analysts view Ayudeh’s dual strategy—endorsing the governor while building his own grassroots network—as a calculated move that reinforces party cohesion while strengthening his personal political base.

His campaign, largely driven by community engagement and direct interaction, continues to gain traction, with many supporters describing him as “a leader who understands the people and walks with them.”

As the 2027 elections gradually come into focus, the alignment between Ayudeh and Governor Mutfwang signals a broader call for continuity within the state’s political landscape—one anchored on sustaining achievements, fostering unity, and delivering inclusive governance.

With consultations ongoing and support steadily growing, Ayudeh’s message remains clear: continuity, consolidation, and committed representation for the people of Jos South.
