Prior to the Premier League match against Bournemouth, Arsenal Football Club may be without five of its starting players.
Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Gunners, said during a news conference that his squad will play the Cherries on September 30, 2023. He acknowledged that Declan Rice, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka might not be in the team.
William Saliba, a squad defender, has been dealing with a knock and could not be ready for selection, the coach added. In response to a query on Saliba and Fabio Vieria, Arteta gave his response.
“Let’s see how everybody is today. They weren’t selected, they weren’t fit enough to be in the squad that’s it. My hope is that everybody is fit and available. We need them.”
Arsenal’s pursuit of the Premier League championship in the previous season (2022/23) was severely hampered by Saliba’s absence. The Gunners’ quest to win trophies this season (2023–24) will not be hampered by his injury, though, since he has played every minute of this season for the team.
