The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, visited Plateau State. This was not a homecoming but a meaningful visit to meet key stakeholders in the state.

Professor Yilwatda arrived at Yakubu Gowon Airport in Jos around 1:00 pm. He was received by a large crowd of APC supporters who had gathered since morning to welcome him.

He was accompanied by six sitting governors, including Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Sule of Nasarawa, Abiodun of Ogun, Buni of Yobe, Yahaya of Gombe, and Uzodimma of Imo. Also present were top senators like Ali Ndume and Orji Uzor Kalu, as well as federal lawmakers.

The Plateau APC leadership, including Chairman Rufus Bature and Speaker Daniel Naanlong, received him at the airport. Cultural groups, traditional dancers, and APC youths also performed in his honor.

After his arrival, Professor Yilwatda headed straight to meet the Plateau State Traditional Council. He met with respected monarchs from all parts of the state to strengthen ties and seek their support.

He is also scheduled to meet separately with Christian and Muslim leaders. These meetings aim to promote peace and religious unity in the country.

Though called a private visit, the event has shown Nentawe’s strong influence and clear leadership direction. He is expected to return to Abuja later today.
