The city of Jos is set to host one of Africa’s most anticipated fashion and cultural showcases at the 8th Edition of the African Cultural Fashion Week and Awards (ACFA), taking place on October 19, 2025, at Sarau Event Center, Jos, by 2 PM.

With the theme “Regal Renaissance – Honoring the Royal Heritage of Africa Through Fashion,” this year’s edition goes beyond the runway. It’s not just a fashion show, but a cultural movement celebrating Africa’s royal heritage and creative evolution.

The “Regal Renaissance” invites designers, historians, cultural custodians, and artists to explore and reimagine Africa’s royal legacy through contemporary fashion. The event aims to bridge the gap between the past and the present, bringing Africa’s timeless traditions to life in a way that resonates with the modern generation.

The 2025 edition seeks to achieve five major objectives, including Cultural Preservation, Fashion Innovation, Tourism Promotion, Empowerment, and Pan-African Unity. Through these, the event will promote African royal dress traditions, inspire designers to fuse heritage with modern trends, and empower artisans while strengthening continental unity.

Guests can look forward to a range of exciting highlights, including Royal Runway Shows featuring regal-inspired collections from across Africa, from the Yoruba Obas and Zulu royalty to the Ashanti, Fulani, and Benin dynasties.

There will also be Cultural Exhibitions showcasing traditional fabrics, crowns, beadwork, and royal artifacts, as well as Panel Discussions and Workshops involving fashion scholars, cultural historians, royal representatives, and top designers.

The grand ACFA Award Ceremony will recognize and celebrate individuals and brands preserving Africa’s cultural identity through fashion. Another exciting feature, the Destination Africa Showcase, will highlight royal palaces, fashion museums, and cultural tourism hotspots across the continent.

The African Cultural Fashion Week and Awards promises an unforgettable experience that celebrates the splendor of African royalty while spotlighting creativity, heritage, and unity.

Guests and fashion lovers are invited to be part of this historic celebration in the beautiful city of Jos.
