The following issue that is likely to be included to Chelsea Football Club’s list of challenges is the potential retirement of Marc Cucurella at the end of current season.
In an exclusive interview with Caughtoffside, transfer news researcher Fabrizio Romano confirmed this, saying that Cucurella is one of the players whose future will be believed at the end of this season. He did, however, state how the former Brighton player’s predicament would not be addressed until the summer transfer window opened its doors.
He declared,
The Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella has been connected to a return to La Liga. Judging to what I gather, he is one of the situation that will be evaluated at the conclusion of the season. Cucurella, Chalobah, and other players have held off to see what Chelsea decides to do with the manager situation, the project, and their tactical intentions for the upcoming season.
Further, he discussed how close the left-back came to joining Manchester United on loan in the summer transfer window of 2023 after Luke Shaw’s injury.
