Prof. Shedrach Best formally began his term as the new vice chancellor of Plateau State University Bokkos, marking an important milestone for the academic community of Plateau State. Upon being appointed by His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, Professor Best expeditiously instituted a significant policy shift by halving the institution’s tuition costs.
Reducing tuition by 50 percent is expected to ease students’ financial strains and improve access to higher education. This action is in line with Professor Best’s mission to support educational opportunities for all people and to create inclusivity.
The institution’s registrar and the transition chairman of the Bokkos Local Government Area gave Prof. Best a warm welcome on his first day in office, demonstrating the support and cooperative nature of his leadership.
Both students and faculty members are excited and hopeful about the announcement of the tuition fee reduction, which indicates a bright future of advancement and creativity under Prof. Best’s leadership.
Under Prof. Best’s leadership, Plateau State University Bokkos is starting a new chapter, and there is a lot of expectation for more programmes that will promote academic success and provide a welcoming environment for all students.
