Captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Ahmed Musa, has spoken out against the Christmas eve massacre on December 24, when terrorists attacked communities in Plateau State, killing over 160 people including women and children.
Musa who himself was born and brought up in Jos, the capital of the state in North Central Nigeria, took to his verified X account to lend his voice to the condemnation of the terror that occurred in several communities in when the marauding terrorists suspected to be armed Fulani herdsmen attacked at least 26 communities across Barkin Ladi and Bokkos local government areas in the state.
Musa who also commiserated with the people of the state, also called on authorities to take action and cease what has been a trend of attacks on communities in the state.
He also called on Nigerians to come together to banish hate and violence.
“I am standing against the violence in Plateau State,” he said.
“It’s heartbreaking to witness the recent violence in Plateau State. My thoughts are with those affected.”
“We need to stand together against hate and violence. Let love and understanding prevail. Together, we can make a difference. Let us show love to one another,” Musa added.
