The Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Manchester Global Foundation (MGF), United Kingdom, to strengthen cancer awareness and support healthcare interventions across Nigeria.

The agreement is expected to promote early detection and prevention of cancer, expand humanitarian services and improve access to health interventions for vulnerable communities.

Announcing the partnership, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, described the development as a significant milestone in the foundation’s humanitarian and community development efforts.

“A new chapter in humanitarian service and community development has begun as the Manchester Global Foundation (UK) and the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation sign a Memorandum of Understanding,” Bagos said.

He disclosed that the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation had become the first organisation in Nigeria to partner with the Manchester Global Foundation.

“Through this landmark collaboration, the organisations will advance cancer awareness and address other critical needs through impactful programmes across Nigeria,” he stated.

Bagos said the partnership would bring together the expertise, vision and commitment of both organisations to strengthen communities and support people in need.

He added that the collaboration would focus on promoting early detection and prevention, supporting vulnerable populations and delivering sustainable interventions to improve lives.

The partnership builds on the Dachung Musa Bagos Foundation’s existing health interventions in Plateau State, including free breast and cervical cancer screenings for underserved women.

The agreement follows a meeting held on May 9, 2025, at the Manchester Global Foundation’s London office, where Bagos and his delegation discussed Nigeria’s public health challenges with the organisation’s representatives.

During the meeting, MGF Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Rakhshi Memon, and consultant, Dr. Siham Sikander, highlighted the need to expand mental health services in Nigeria, while Dr. Deepali Sharma outlined the foundation’s mission and vision.

“We thank God for this milestone and look forward to a partnership that expands humanitarian reach, inspires hope, advances human dignity, and creates lasting impact across Nigeria,” Bagos said.
