The Plateau State chapter of the Renewed Hope for Greater Nigeria (RHGN) has visited the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Rufus Bature, ahead of the inauguration of its state executives scheduled for August 22, 2026.
The visit was aimed at formally introducing RHGN to the APC leadership as a grassroots mobilisation platform committed to galvanising support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the success of all APC candidates on the Plateau.
Speaking during the visit, the Plateau State Coordinator of RHGN, Hon. Ayuba Dutse, said the delegation was at the APC secretariat to formally introduce the group to the state party leadership and seek its support ahead of the inauguration of the state executives.
Dutse said the inauguration, scheduled for August 22, 2026, would mark a major step in strengthening the group’s grassroots structure across Plateau State and preparing its members for sustained mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He explained that RHGN was established as a grassroots platform to promote the achievements of the Tinubu administration, mobilise support for the President’s re-election and work for the success of APC candidates across Plateau State.
“Our vision is to mobilise and campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a resounding victory in the 2027 election. We want to take the message of Renewed Hope to the grassroots and engage our people across the state,” Dutse said.
He noted that the Plateau chapter had already constituted its structure across the 17 local government areas, bringing together coordinators and other executives to drive the group’s activities at the grassroots.
According to him, the visit to the APC Chairman was also intended to strengthen collaboration between RHGN and the party, stressing that the group would work in synergy with party stakeholders while remaining focused on its mobilisation mandate.
Dutse expressed confidence that the newly constituted executives would deepen the group’s presence across Plateau and mobilise support for President Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections, urging members to remain united, focused and committed to the task ahead.
Responding to the delegation, the Plateau State APC Chairman, Hon. Rufus Bature, acknowledged the efforts of the Renewed Hope for Greater Nigeria (RHGN) and commended the leadership of the group for building a platform capable of contributing to the party’s success.
Bature described the RHGN members, particularly its young leaders, as vibrant and intellectually equipped individuals with the capacity to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates across the state.
He urged the group to formally register with the Plateau State chapter of the APC, saying such recognition would enable it to work more effectively with the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“It is good to see young, vibrant and intellectual people coming together on this platform. You have the capacity to deliver victory for Mr President and all our candidates, but you need to register with the state APC so that we can work together,” Bature said.
The APC chairman called on the RHGN leadership to strengthen its collaboration with the party and ensure that its grassroots mobilisation complements the party’s structures across the 17 local government areas.
He expressed optimism that greater unity between the support group and the APC would enhance the party’s chances of securing victory for President Tinubu and all its candidates in the 2027 elections.
