The Jos Family Christmas Festival 3.0 is deepening its impact by promoting tourism education and children-focused activities at the Christmas Village, Airforce Base Roundabout, Jonah Jang Way, Jos.
As part of the ongoing 10-day celebration, the festival featured the Primary and Secondary School Essay Competition, designed to inspire young minds to learn about Plateau State’s rich tourism potential, culture, and heritage.

Speaking during the presentation of certificates and gifts, the General Manager of the Plateau State Tourism Corporation, Chuwang Pwajok, praised the students for their creativity and understanding of tourism development, describing the initiative as a strategic way to nurture pride and responsibility in children.
He noted that engaging students through essay writing encourages early tourism education, critical thinking, and civic awareness, while also appreciating teachers, parents, and festival organizers for their dedication.
The day also came alive with Little Miss Tourism, DJ and Dance competitions, and a raffle draw, adding excitement to the children’s fun fair segment.
