The 2025 Enchanting Plateau Exhibition opened at Odilins Event Center in Jos with renewed energy, bringing together artists, cultural leaders, and creatives for a vibrant week-long celebration of Plateau’s rich heritage.

With the theme “One,” this year’s edition reaffirms the exhibition’s mission of uniting communities through art, promoting tourism, and strengthening cultural identity across the state.

In his opening remarks, Chuwang Pwajok underscored the growing significance of the exhibition in Plateau’s cultural landscape, describing it as more than just an artistic gathering.

He said the platform has evolved into a space for reflection, pride, and healing, mirroring the resilience, diversity, and communal spirit that define Plateau people.

Pwajok praised the young creatives whose works highlight unity, beauty, struggle, and hope, noting that their expressions shape the future of the state’s cultural identity.

He added that Enchanting Plateau is steadily becoming a cultural signature event that deserves consistent support and expansion.

Founder David Thomas delivered a deeply emotional speech, recalling how the initiative began as a simple dream to give Plateau artists the global visibility many struggle to attain.

He highlighted challenges such as limited appreciation, financial barriers, and lack of exposure, while emphasizing the extraordinary talent that thrives within the state.

Thomas stressed that the exhibition serves as a bridge between art, culture, tourism, and economic development, urging government and private partners to view art as a worthy long-term investment.

Hon. Dachung Bagos commended the organisers for motivating young creatives, reminding artists of the economic potential within the creative sector.

He encouraged them to trademark their works and take the business side of art seriously, noting that Plateau’s creativity can become a major source of wealth if nurtured.

Exhibiting artists shared their excitement, including Naomi Adamu, who returned for the second time with her piece, “Symbolic Identity,” created from natural seeds and gourds to reflect cultural values and traditional communication patterns.

Artist David C. Nwadike also expressed gratitude for the visibility the platform offers, calling for continued support to help local art gain deserved recognition.

Guests later toured the exhibition stands, admiring artworks that showcased the state’s festivals, landscapes, cultural symbols, and artistic depth.

The 2025 Enchanting Plateau Exhibition once again reinforces Plateau State as a rising creative hub and a true destination of peace, culture, and tourism.
