The Berom Youth Moulders Association (BYM), Gyel District, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Dauda Joshua by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Gyero village, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

In a press release signed by its Chairman, Mr. Dungs Sylvester Bitrus, the association expressed deep sorrow and outrage over the killing, which occurred on May 12, 2025. The late Dauda Joshua was from Tanchol Ward in Gyel District and was reportedly attacked and murdered in cold blood.

BYM described the act as heinous and senseless, calling on security agencies and relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate the incident and ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

“We urge the government to take immediate action to protect our communities from such attacks and ensure the safety of all citizens,” the statement read.

While mourning the loss, the association extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and the entire Gyel community, praying for the repose of the deceased’s soul.

The BYM also appealed for calm and vigilance among residents, stressing the importance of unity in overcoming the current security challenges.

“Let us remain united in our pursuit of peace, growth, and development for our dear Plateau State,” Mr. Bitrus concluded.
