As the 2024 Democracy Day is being observed in Nigeria, Nigeria’s former Senate Minority Leader, Senator Simon Mwadkwon PhD has commended Nigerians for their immense contributions to the growth of the Nation’s democracy and Nation Building.
In a Goodwill message, Senator Simon Mwadkwon acknowledged the patriotic and industrious disposition of Nigerians urging them not to despair but remain positive saying the future of Nigeria is bright.
He said “Despite all the challenges bedeviling the Nation ranging from insecurity, economic hardships and others, I urge all Nigerians to remain patriotic and optimistic of a better and greater Nation.
May I also call on all Nigerians to continue to contribute their quota to national peace, unity and development.
While our democracy may have not grown to where we all expected, all hands must be on deck if the Nation’s prosperity is to be attained”
He congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Caleb Mutfwang on the remarkable celebration urging them to work in the best interest of the State and Nation respectively.
While wishing Nigerians a successful celebration, he admonished them to eschew bitterness, ethnic/religious chauvinism and other unhealthy tendencies capable of threatening the Nation’s peace and development.
Happy Democracy Day Nigerians.
