BRIEF NOTES ON YOUTH HEALTH CONFERENCE

SML Foundation is a youth Led non-profit community based organisation, established in 2013 to address the reproductive health challenges of youths and adolescents, as well as barriers limiting young peoples access to health care.

We are a group of young Volunteers whowork with young people and their communities to Promote youth Friendly health services, comprehensive sexuality education and advocacy for social and policy change in Nigeria.

We have taken the initiative to organisea Youth Health Conference as a Lead up event to the Nairobi Summit – INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON POPULATION AND DEVELOPMENT (ICPD25).

This Youth Health Conference is aimed at generating intergenerational dialogue between stakeholders, academicians, influencers, and youthsactivist/ advocates of different age groups. Wecommit to engage with the ICPD program of Action and best voice out young peoples needs, desires, values and opinions to the world, starting from our local communities.

This Youth Conference is a spark for changing the Narratives on youth health from the Community level, a spark for renewed commitment to the unfinished business of ensuring every young persons rights and choices are respected and accepted and there are zero barriers to accessible reproductive health care to adolescents.
