The University of Jos is mourning the loss of one of its esteemed members, Professor Gray Goziem Ejikeme, who passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the National Hospital in Abuja after a brief illness.

Professor Ejikeme was a distinguished academic and administrator, having served as the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, among other significant roles during his long and dedicated tenure at the University.

The management of the University expressed its deep condolences to the entire university community, highlighting Professor Ejikeme’s impactful contributions and leadership. “May his dear soul continue to rest peacefully in the Lord’s bosom, Amen! TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!” said Abdullahi Abdullahi, the Senior Deputy Registrar for Information and Publications.

Professor Ejikeme’s legacy at the University of Jos will be remembered and cherished by colleagues, students, and all who had the privilege of working with him.
