One of the most popular superhero series on Netflix, Umbrella Academy is soon coming up with its second season. Created by Steve Blackman, it is an American fiction series, based on the comic book series under the same title Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba. It was first released on 15th February 2019 and has been into the limelight since then. The series has managed to grab attention in a short span.

The story revolves around a group of six children who were born along with thirty-seven other infants on the same day in 1989, to unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the previous day.  Seven children were adopted by billionaire Reginald Hargreeves, who created Umbrella Academy to train these children how to save the world. Anyways, after Reginald’s death, the children drift apart, and years later they reunite to investigate their father’s death and a global apocalypse that is to happen soon.

Five updates about Season 2 that has been reported are as follows:

  • The filming for Season 2 had wrapped back in November 2019, and it could be out any time now. Due to recent emergency, everything has been delayed or cancelled for some months. But because the filming is over for the new season, there is hope that we might catch up with the new season soon.
  • No official teaser has been out but back in February 2020; posters were out on the official Twitter account.
  • In case of the cast, all grown up Hargreeves siblings will be back in  Season 2.
  • It is one of the most significant budget productions of Netflix, based on comic books.
  • Three newcomers have joined the cast of Season 2. Their names have not been revealed yet.

Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger, so we are guessing to get all our answers in the upcoming season. So until furthermore, updates are out, stay tuned and stay safe!
